Registration deadlines.

Ok Guys. The deadline for ONLINE registration will be NOON this coming Wednesday( April 27th), and mail in registration will be Tuesday ( April 26) at 5PM. If I do not recieve it in the mail by end of the day Tuesday you can still run it; but your finishers award will NOT have your name engraved onto it. Reminder, you can sign up the morning of the race but you will recieve a nameless finishers medal. NO ULTRA race day sign up.

Here is a race day prize that Metro Run and Walk has donated. (574-257-7867)
Its is a Timex IRONMAN Global Trainer. Its is a GPS enabled, heart rate monitor wrist watch. Also included is access to online software,USB cable, AC adaptor, handlebar bike mount and a quick start guide. This is a bad little monkey valued at $360.00.
You can sign up to win it by guessing your finishing time. The closest finishing time with out going over will win. There will be clip board at the start finish area where you will have to write out your time prediction.

  2. Is that only for the ultra runners or are us lowly others also available to enter and win? :) Sweet prize!

  3. This is for every runner who cares to enter! For the record, there is no such thing as "lowly others". 8-)

  5. Glad I can participate! It seems like I read on one of your entries that you'd listed what the aid stations will have, but now I can't find it. Can you direct me to that info? Thanks!

  6. The A/S will have: water, HEED, candy, pb&j chips, cookies, bananas, pretzels, as well as a few helpful and encouraging volunteers. :-)

  7. What's to keep a person from just slowing down, with an eye on his/her watch, and crossing the finish line just before his/her predicted time. I plan on racing, but others may be encouraged to just simply go for the prize.

  8. Well I didnt account for that. The only thing set in stone right now is that it will be given away. Perhaps if I make it something like predict how much time will elapse between the first over all finisher of the half marathon and the first overall ultra finisher? I am open for suggestions.

  9. That sounds like a good idea, as long as you don't need to be present to win. I doubt the 1/2 marathon and/or full marathon people are planning on waiting around for the ultra to finish. I'm sure you can come up with something fun and exciting. Looking forward to Saturday. From the sounds of it we may be running through some water and mud! Just how I like it!
